Champions League Preview Week 3
Another day, another preview. We take a look before the upcoming game week 3 for some more tasty fixtures to sink your teeth into.
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City is set to face Napoli at home in Manchester. The only previous encounter with these two sides came in the 2011/12 season in the group stages. The English side are yet to beat the Italians having drawn and lost to the side 1-1, and 2-1 respectively.
However, Manchester look a threatening side given their last premier league meeting against Stoke saw them winning a huge 7 goals to 2. Their attack looks frightening to any defence with Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane out pacing most defenders, with service from the likes of David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.
Another interesting matchup includes Bayern Munich against Celtic. At home, Bayern have won 22 out of 23 of their last Champions League games, so this is set to be all Bayern. Also, Celtic are yet to win a match against German opposition away from home.
A notable mention is Arjen Robben, he will play his 100th Champions League game. The only Dutch player to have played more is Clarence Seedorf (125).
