The Carmelo Anthony saga continues in New York this week as
the all-star pushes for a trade to the Houston Rockets. The rockets have not
made an offer to the New York Knicks that they would accept, mainly because
they insist on trading Ryan Anderson, an overpriced veteran that doesn’t fit in
with the Knick’s timeline and has 3 years and over $60 million remaining on his
contract.

Reports have surfaced that if Carmelo Anthony does not
secure a trade to Houston by this weekend, he will entertain an offer to
Portland, possibly to make the Houston Rockets up their current offer or so he
can go to Portland and get out of New York. Portland would be the second-best
option for Carmelo, but even that is better than wasting another year of his
prime in New York.
