Australia - 334/5 (50) vs India 313/8 (50) "Winning gains you some momentum. The way the guys played with the bat was fantastic. Good to see guys execute their skills they’ve been honing in the nets.” - David Warner.   Photo: David Warner tonned up in his 100th match. (AP: Rajanish Kakade)        David Warner took Australia to the win by scoring 124 by himself at his 100th ODI and Aron Finch scored 94. And Kane Richardson took three wickets. It was a shame for India as the tourists in their country have won the game. India was playing good with 106-0, but later they slipped to 147 runs with 3 out, who was the good players of the team. The two were Ajinkya Rahne and Rohit Sharma who took half centuries. They kept on losing wickets very often which lead them to failure. Australia didn’t want to lose the 4th ODI as well. The team took 102 runs in the last 15 overs which gave india a high unbeatable score to win over. During the game, Indi...

Dortmund fall at home The second round of the UEFA Champions League commenced on Wednesday 27th September, with some tough fixtures, but all eyes were fixed on Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund hosting the La Liga champions Real Madrid at the Signal Iduna Park. The match was heading slightly in favour of the German team with both sides having good opportunities to score, and a clear hand ball by Sergio Ramos (RM) stopping a potential goal not being penalised by the referee, until Gareth Bale (RM) broke the deadlock in the 18th minute with a stunning volley assisted by Daniel Carvajal. The Welshman then went onto assist teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to double their lead in the 50th minute. Until 4 minutes later Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Bor) halved the deficit. The first half saw a tough match between the two with only a penalty goal and a late try to Melbourne separating the teams at the break. The second half however was dominated by the Storm as they stacked on another 3 converted tries and 2 penalty goals to finish 30-0. The storm now progresses through to the Grand final and remain the favourites to win the competition. Carmelo Anthony traded to Oklahoma City Thunder

Image
The NBA world has been reshaped by the Carmelo Anthony trade from the New York Knicks to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Knicks have gone from a fringe playoff team to a very young team that is looking to the future now and the Thunder have gone from a mid-placed playoff team in the stacked western conference to a possible championship contender and could possibly knock out the dominant Golden State Warriors in the western conference and defeat the winner of the east, making them NBA champions. This all depends if the combination of Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony can make it work together and execute correctly. If that happens, we could be seeing the team that knocks the warriors out. The matchup between these 2 teams next season could be very interesting and is a possible western conference finals matchup for the ages because if the fact that Kevin Durant left the Thunder for the Warriors just last season.  https://s.yimg.com/ny/api/res/1.2/J2VvzpgPyMUfvp...

English Premier League - Matchday 6

Matchday 6 of the English Premier League has kicked off with a number of high scoring affairs courtesy of some of the leagues top finishers from last season. To start the weeks proceedings Manchester United travelled to Southampton. Coming off another 3+ goal win many pundits were confident that it would be a confident showing from United against a Southampton side who had made a relatively unremarkable start to the season. However the game was anything but set United being forced to work for the win and seeming shaky throughout. Romelu Lukaku scored an 18th minute goal after following up a powerful header parried by Saints' keeper Fraser Forster. Embed from Getty Images Presiding champions Chelsea made easy work of Stoke winning 4-0 at the Britannia Stadium featuring a hat-trick of goals from Alvaro Morata, hopefully one of many for the Chelsea supporters. Manchester City also continued their confident start to the season with a conclusive home win against Crystal Palace...

With the likes of new signing Romelu Lukaku (striker), and Nemanja Matic (defensive midfielder) featuring, this game was sure to have goals! The 3 time Champions League winning team didn't disappoint as they came away with three points, and three goals credit to Marouane Fellaini (35'), aforementioned Romelu Lukaku (53') and youngster Ma...

NBA Update

Image
T he Carmelo Anthony saga continues in New York this week as the all-star pushes for a trade to the Houston Rockets. The rockets have not made an offer to the New York Knicks that they would accept, mainly because they insist on trading Ryan Anderson, an overpriced veteran that doesn’t fit in with the Knick’s timeline and has 3 years and over $60 million remaining on his contract. https://content.sny.tv/assets/images/4/7/0/221181470/cuts/USATSI_9975672_hmfn1ht6_d9lro73q.jpg Reports have surfaced that if Carmelo Anthony does not secure a trade to Houston by this weekend, he will entertain an offer to Portland, possibly to make the Houston Rockets up their current offer or so he can go to Portland and get out of New York. Portland would be the second-best option for Carmelo, but even that is better than wasting another year of his prime in New York. By Christopher Bacic

NRL finals week 2 review

Image
NRL finals week 2 review The second round of the finals brought about much controversy over some questionable decision  making from the referees and the huge upset win from the North Queensland Cowboys over the  Parramatta Eels. Both matchups provided strong competition with the week kicking off with the  Brisbane Broncos defeating the Penrith Panthers 13-6 in a hard-fought nail-biter, Saturdays game  provided an upset 24-16 win for North Queensland Cowboys over the red-hot Parramatta Eels. The Penrith vs Broncos game sparked major debate due to some of the referees decisions in particular, the referees decision to hold up the play after Broncos plater Corey Oates was knocked unconscious after running into his own team mate Anthony Milford. The ball was dropped and a Penrith player picked up the ball and was almost certainly going to score a runaway try when the referee blew his whistle and call the play back. It was an extremely difficult decision for the ref...
